At Timber Works, we pride ourselves on giving the best price at the first request. A lot of contractors will try and give a high price before they offer discounts, but we try and give our lowest price on the first request.

Because of this, we wanted to figure out a way that we can save our clients money. With the neighbor referral campaign, we can do just that! When you refer your neighbor for a job it cuts our cost because of driving time, gas, moving equipment, and many other ways.

Terrific service. I needed a tree dropped that was too close to my house. They dropped it exactly between my deck and a very special ornamental tree. They also Gave me a quote for another tree drop for the spring. Definitely will be calling them again for tree work and probably their other services too.- Nick

Very quick contact and Jack came out the next day to assess the work and discuss options. Sent estimates through the same day that beat the competition to take down 6 large dangerous/dead oak trees. Team on-site the next day to take care of the job and went beyond the original scope of work without charge. Throughout the work, the team were pleasant to deal with, Jack kept me updated on progress and they exceeded my expectations on the job. I have no hesitation recommending them - top for value, top for customer service and top for quality of work.

I called Timber Works out to cut down several tall trees, clean out over-growth and grind down several tree stumps in our yard. Jack & his crew showed up on time, worked very hard (as a team) to accomplished, in 3 hours, what most would take a full day to do! They cleaned up, afterwards, leaving my yard looking nicer than it was before they started. I couldn't have asked for a better tree/yard service. Jack was very professional & knowledgeable, going out of his way to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the finished result. Better than any other yard service we've hired! Loved them so much-- that I plan on having them come back in the Spring - to clear out trees for our backyard project. Thank you for providing such excellent service!!!

Timber Works, in conjunction with Arborist's Touch, have a program to donate their services to Veterans in the area. As a disabled VET, I was given this donation of cutting down a few of my trees which were old and have split already a few times. They were fantastic and very professional and helped this old VET out. Timber Works is a wonderful company with great employees and I highly recommend them!!

We had a very good experience with Timber Works. They showed up at 7:30, exactly when they were scheduled, and were done by lunch. I paid for 7 trees to be removed from my property. The crew cut them down, chipped, and stacked what couldnt be chipped. They even raked up all the debri including the leaves on the ground. I wouldn’t hesitate to reccomend them to anyone looking for a tree service.

Team did 2 days of forestry mulching on my new property that was full of under brush after being select logged about 15 years ago. It was a night and day difference that I could never have done on my own. Jack and the crew at Timber Works did a great job communicating and the end result exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend Timber Works for all of your tree clearing needs. Jack and his crew were professional and used specialized equipment (Tree Mek) along with other standard tree clearing equipment to complete the work. Timber Works completed the work on time and the site was cleaned up prior to their demobilization.

I called and talked with Jack, he was very helpful and came to the property to look at the trees that we needed downed. I trusted Jack and his crew to come onto the property when we where not there and they took care of everything we needed and left the property as they found it. I will be calling Jack in the future.

We had a fairly large job for a homeowner. A number of old trees grew very closer and over our newly purchased home. We contacted several tree services to come look at the project and provide an estimate of the work and costs. Right away, we liked Jack! Timber Works isn't just concerned with taking trees down. They have certified arborists who also care about conservation and the health of the trees remaining.Our job took 3 days to complete and included climbers, a bucket truck, several tractors, chipper, and numerous trucks hauling away the debris. The workers had obstacles such as the house/deck, shed, electrical lines, propane tank, well, and septic system to work around.We appreciate that this company is safety conscious. All workers wore hard hats, eye protection, hearing protection, and no open jackets or anything hanging that could get caught in a chipper. Several of the workers wore microphones/ear pieces to communicate with each other, which is very important when trying to precisely drop branches and trunks so as not to fall on the house!The men cleaned up each night, stowing all their gear and generally raking and clearing up as they went. Jack met with us and reviewed what had been completed each day and what to expect the next. These guys were all friendly and professional.After the trees had been removed, they ran a "mulcher" over the property that had been cleared, mulching all the remaining leaves and small branches so that the ground will be ready to seed in the spring.Timber Works not only met our expectations, but far exceeded our expectations! We are looking forward to working with them over the next year or so as we clean up our five acres of heavily wooded property!

WOW these guys are great! I had a big tree limb fall on my house and needed it removed yesterday. Jack Donohue answered my phone call on the first ring and came out that day to provide me a quote to remove the limb, which was removed the next day. He even put a tarp on my roof to help keep the rain out until the roof could be repaired. He cleaned up the tree debris after removing the limb and it looked as though the tree had never fallen. As a result of this I had him remove the remaining tree, and prune a tree in the back yard. All quality work, fast, and thorough.

I am so happy with the job Timber Works did at my farm. At the outset, Jack came to meet with my son and me to go over the tree clearing, mulching, and stump-grinding we needed done on about 1 1/2 acres, which included a hillside; and Ben and his crew carried it out wonderfully and completely, and I now have my beautiful view back!! Timberworks came out same day to give an estimate and then completed the work next day. We had agreed upon him just dropping an old Bradford pair and my husband would saw it up. They went ahead and cut everything up to a manageable size for us at no extra charge. Great customer service!

We had a tree from our yard fall on our neighbors house shortly after we moved in. They cam super quickly and did a fantastic job. The dirt spot in the yard was the only reminder there had been a tree previously. We since had them back to remove a stump and again, they were so responsive, polite and their clean up was impeccable. We also asked them to do a walk around the property (fairly wooded) and give us input on the trees we had some questions and concerns about. Fantastic company and fully insured which is important.

I have used Timber Works twice, once to remove several trees, and then a year later as a source of firewood. I was very pleased on both counts. For the tree removal, the company offered me a good price to have all eight trees removed or trimmed at one time, which was nice. The work was done on schedule, efficiently and quickly. As to the firewood, it was of good quality, and delivered on schedule. I will certainly not hesitate to use Timber Works again, and I have recommended them to my neighbors.

Timber Works was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Jack arrived on time to determine what trees should come down. Joe contacted me the next work day with a proposal and he made scheduling around my busy schedule effortless. Ben arrived on time with a crew of four hard-workers to remove 15 dead trees from my property. A huge oak positioned on the edge of a steep drop-off was especially challenging, but Ben was able to methodically dismember and remove the tree safely. I agree with other comments, they are reliable, efficient, and left the property tidier than they found it. Jack and all of his employees are friendly and a pleasure to work with. I hired Timber Works to clear some woods and remove several trees on a mountain lot so we could get our view back of the mountains. The work was challenging given the rocks and slope but Jack and his crew did a fantastic job, clearing exactly what we discussed. I had a large dead maple tree about 20 feet from my home that had to come down. There were also a couple of trees overgrown and hanging over the house. Jack came out the day after I called, gave a very satisfactory estimate, and marked the trees. His crew arrived as promised and make short work of the trees. They put them down exactly where I asked in short order. The crew was extremely knowledgable, courteous, professional, and quick. They even spent a few minutes chatting to help me get acquainted to the area. As a bonus I also now have a fairly decent view from my back deck all the way to Winchester and the mountains beyond. Professionalism, Perfectly Yours!I’m not sure how I can say it any better: if you are looking for professionalism and if you are looking for perfection, then look no further than Timber Works Tree Care.My first contact with the company came when I called to talk about some large trees that I needed to have removed. I spoke with Joe--the office manager—and he scheduled someone to come out and give me an estimate within a week. I felt confident that I was in good hands.Jack—the company president—came out when scheduled, right on time, and surveyed what I needed to have done. He gave me a verbal estimate on the spot and confirmed it later in the day with a written contract. His price was more than fair. Now, I knew that I was in good hands. Also, Jack inspired my trust.His crew—Ben (the leader) working with Frank, Wendall, and Jerome—arrived on the day the work was to be done, right on time. Jack at Timber Works delivered a beautiful cord of wood to our cabin at a fair price and when he said he would be there. While he was there we inquired about some tree work to remove some threatening branches hanging over our 50 year old cabin. A few weeks later Jack and his crew showed up on time, performed the difficult task...as the large oak tree sits right next to our cabin...even as it started to rain! The final price was the initial quote! I highly recommend Timber Works, Jack and his great crew for your firewood and tree work needs! We'll definitely call them again!

From when Jack the owner came to our home to give us a quote, to Joe at the office who coordinated things efficiently, to the whole team who came out and did a solid, clean, safe, and thorough job removing trees and stumps, I was completely satisfied with my experience. Jack and his crew are top notch professionals who can be trusted to get the job done right. We had an old large cherry tree right next to our house that was beginning to become a concern due to it's age and proximity to our bedrooms. Jack's crew took the tree down for us quickly, and more importantly, without a single branch hitting our home even though it had a few large branches overhanging our house. We called Timber Works Tree Care to estimate and then remove a dying tree in our yard in the Fairfax, VA area. The Timber Works crew were extremely courteous and professional. They were able to offer us a great deal (as we had received several estimates), scheduled a time convenient for us, and removed the tree in a prompt manner. In fact, they did such a great job, that in the several hours they were here, three separate neighbors asked them to take out some trees and branches from their yards! :) I highly recommend Timber Works. Give them a call; get an estimate! You won't be disappointed in the service!

These guys exceeded my expectations in every possible way. They are very professional, but, unlike very large companies, this did not stop them from listening to my personal needs and wants regarding my project. They started the project very promptly, and finished it on time. The quality of their work was so high, that it prompted me to write a review, although I almost never do so. In short, I would recommend them for any job that they will commit to doing, and I would trust their word 100%. If you want the long description of what they did for me, read on.I contacted Jack from TimberWorks to talk about clearing land on a 4acre lot with many trees. He came to the property a few days later, and spent time with me talking about why I need the land cleared (it was because we were buying the property and wanted to bring our horses to live on it). I explained to him about how much I could spend on the project. He explained how to maximize the value from a project that would cost that much (e.g. leave the very large trees, focus on the others and removing stumps, etc.). He also explained to me that I should check with my county to figure out if there may be any requirements and so on. After talking to him, I felt very informed, and we agreed on the specifics of the project. We talked a little about payment dates, which, due to some issues regarding our potential closing date, was uncertain, and Jack was very accomodating with the payment options I offered him. We shook hands, and they started the project a little after that.In the end they cleared probably a little more than an acre, and the place looked like a park. One of the TimberWorks guys jokingly said ‘you can get them to put a carpet on top of that!’; the land was so smooth and flat when they were done. I should also note that, when I asked them to clear the (future) fence line along the perimeter, they did it without a question, even though this was not part of our agreement. Also, when they were done and packing their vehicles, I asked them if they could clear two more stumps that I thought were going to be cleared. Again, no questions, no complaining. In fact, no response besides “sure, we’ll get that done for you”. They got back to work and removed the two stumps.At no point did I experience anything negative with any of the guys who came over to do the job. They were all very friendly, very hard working, and very good at their jobs. They simply enjoy and (quite justifiably) take pride in their work. I simply have nothing negative to say about TimberWorks.

Our experience was top notch all the way around! Response time to get estimates was almost immediate! We received professional service from the owner, to the office manager, to the tree removal crew! It was impressive to observe the tree removal crew. These young men were on the ball and worked like a fine tuned instrument! The clean up was unbelievable! Not a pine cone or a needle left behind! We felt the price was a little high, but not so much after seeing the completion of the job! We will be calling Timber Works again to handle all of our tree servicing needs! Just go with Timber Works, I guarantee you will be satisfied!

The original estimate fir tree removal and forestry mulching was timely and reflected the work that we had discussed. Office was very responsive to questions and scheduling concerns. On the day of the job an excellent crew of three arrived on time, walked the site and got right to work. They checked in frequently to make sure that we were happy with their progress. They were very conscientious about safety and worked in a timely manner. The owner, Jack, stopped by to check on progress. A truly class act. Very professional. We will definitely have them do more tree cleanup and mulching in the future.

Jack and his team cleared just under a 1/4 acre of woodland/brush on my property as I was going to turn that portion of my property into an Orchard. Jacks team came out while I was at work & over the next two days the area was totally cleared of trees, brush and stumps exceeding my initial expectations! I would highly recommend Jack and his team as I will be using his business for my future clearing jobs!

Timber Works is one of the best businesses that I have ever contacted. They were quick to respond to my request for info and an estimate. The crew was amazing…polite and willing to answer any questions…on the job quickly with great attention to safety…careful of my property (old fencing) not doing any damage….inspiring to watch them work, so coordinated …..clean up was ALL done by the crew….there was nothing left for me to do…I would and I will contact them in the future for more trim work..

Very professional hardworking and efficient group. Had a tree extremely close and over hung the house. Completely removed the tree and stump better then expected. Would not hesitate to hire again. Top notch clean up as well upon completion

Wonderful company. I have now had 2 trees removed by them, both times great work, cleaned up after work..also have received 2 loads of firewood..great wood...burns great. True cord of wood. Always on time, fair prices...will continue to use them if I need them again

I wanted to take a minute to recognize Jack and his team at Timber Works for a job well done! A storm came through where one of the larger limbs fell from our dying oak tree and it truly brought home the potential danger right in our backyard. I was very nervous and apprehensive due to the size and proximity. I went for four different quotes and Jack’s calmness, follow-up and professionalism was what set Timber Works apart. I was given a detailed, itemized list of exactly what to expect, along with recommendations and their associated cost. There was no surprises, no hidden itinerary, which allowed us to effectively shift our budget around.I won’t even get into the acrobatic, strength, and agility the team displayed. They arrived promptly as scheduled, relentlessly worked around the clock all the while keeping site of our neighbor’s as well as our personal property. How they managed to not destroy my roses underneath is testament to how good these guys are. Even after putting in long hours, they offered to help move a few patio furniture that was damaged from the storm and set them curbside for the trash man to haul away the next day. With my husband overseas, I would never have been able to clear the derbies and furniture on my own. They are a lifesaver and very greatly appreciated. I will highly recommend their service to everyone seeking an outstanding and more than capable landscaping & tree removal company!

I got three bids to remove an Oklahoma Redbud from my front yard. Timber Works was actually the lowest by far, which initially made me a little leery because the other two were fairly close. After meeting Jack, the owner, it sealed the deal. He told me the price up front, looked me in the eye and gave me a firm handshake. My wife said the crew wasted no time whatsoever, cleaned up very well and didn’t leave a trace. If I had more work for them, I wouldn’t hesitate, and neither should you. Very professional outfit, very easy to deal with, and I saved $500.

I called in Timber Works for the second time and just like the first time they were quick to respond, accommodated my schedule, arrived when promised and worked quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend them. (For those who saw this review the first few days it was up I inadvertently only checked four stars - Timber Works is definitely a five star outfit.)

These guys took down a mess of trees for me today, cleared out a ton of brush, and they even cut and stacked some of the wood for our summer bonfires! A-plus job, including cleanup!

This is the second time we’ve used Timber Works (my sister has also used them). They are absolutely awesome!!! The guys are all so nice and respectful and work like busy bees when they’re here! You could never ask for better service. Jack (the owner) is responsive and so great to work with!! Joe (office staff) is always so pleasant. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!! Our yard looks so beautiful!!!! We love it!!!

These guys are AWESOME! They are quick & and very honest. They do an excellent job, way above & beyond their service. They rake, sweep, and pick up all extra branches from your yard. They are quick and can remove a tree w/in an hour. Very price competitive. Definitely will use again for our needs. Great group of friendly guys!

Prompt, professional, polite and efficient. Their work is neat. We needed a large brush pile removed. We got a written estimate for the job in 24 hrs and the work was done two days later. Boulders were relocated, tree stumps hauled away and the large amount of dirt in the pile was spread and leveled. Work site was left clean, not full of scattered shred. We'll turn to them for the next job we have.

Timber Works removed several trees from our yard. They did an excellent job, were pleasant, professional, and hard working. They cleaned up all brush, stacked wood as requested, and did all work quickly and efficiently. I am having them do more work in the yard this Fall.

Jack Donohue was very attentive to all of our needs. He took the time to listen to all questions and thoroughly addressed them to our satisfaction.

I am very pleased with their work and highly recommend their services.
