Using Timber Works Tree Care for removal of several trees was a great experience. They were professional from the first call to final invoice. Everything detailed, no surprises, and they left the yard looking like they had never been there. I couldn't have asked for better service. Tree work is expensive, so pricing was high...but you get what you pay for. If you are looking for quality work done safely and professionally, then call Timber Works.

Second time for great service with Timber Works!! Frank did a fabulous job with forest mulching that included several major downed trees and tackling bamboo that had run rampant. He quickly ascertained what our goals were and even accomplished a task that we had planned for the next visit - all with a super end result. Kudo's for the work ethic and professionalism! Timber Works is our "go to", for sure.We will definitely be calling Timber Works for future tree service. They are professional and highly skilled - impressive! The crew arrived on time - cut 50 tree trunks (from construction clearing) into the size we wanted, and chipped the soft woods. Great mulch piles, right where we specified. They also cleared/forest mulched/shredded a huge pile of tree debris from construction clearing and worked it until the area looked clean and ready to regenerate. Fantastic crew, clearly work with safety in mind, hard working. Highly recommend.

Timber Works has been a pleasure to work with from the start. Showed up when promised to provide an estimate and once scheduled they showed up promptly on the date and time given. Equipment is well taken care of and the crew worked hard. Ben and Ben were personable and professional. Good to see that safety was a priority as each member of the crew was utilizing proper PPE. Clean-up was flawless. It's as if no one was here. If you have tree work that needs to be done, Timber Works should be your choice! Tim Hockman

This was our first engagement with Timber Works of Front Royal, Virginia. Timber Works was recommended to me by my USNA/Navy classmate who lives nearby in Bentonville - we are both retired military families with more than 70 years of service between the two of us.By far the best people we have ever worked with, we love this team! Timber Works showed outstanding leadership and teamwork; consummate professionalism; acute awareness of performing extreme safety measures in an incredibly dangerous environment; thoroughness and site cleanliness; and an ultra-patriotic and strong work ethic for every man on the team are the hallmarks of Timber Works' success as the best tree service crew we have ever worked with. From the first estimating engagement with the owner, to having the Timber Works teams out for this job was the best investment we've made on this property, they cleared dead and dying trees that were close to falling on the house and on other structures. The team rose to the challenge in a difficult forest hill terrain, and cut and segmented and stacked all 15 trees (except 3 or 4) into firewood size sections. From the moment they set foot on the property, they hit the deck plates running, cleanly and efficiently working together and completing the job in record time. What I noticed most was the teamwork, precision, and safety; with every man handling a specific job and executed flawlessly under the guidance and direction of the team lead. This is a tough group of professionals who I would take down range with me any day into the worst conditions!The same thing happened on the second day with the tree tech who came out to run the large forestry mulcher down through the forest to the creek's edge creating a path for us to be able to bring our veteran warrior friends and our greater military family down to what is now a safe and peaceful place. He was quick, professional, and very knowledgeable in how to weave a path through our forest that accomplished our goals while still maintaining a high level of forest ecosystem conservation.I was also very impressed and humbled with the Timber Works Team's interest and appreciation for our military service. Our property and buildings will be safer now for hosting our military brothers and sisters, and their families – particularly Gold Star families. And in the days since the Timber Works teams were here to complete these two jobs, I have had the pleasure to run into several of the crew members out and about in our Fort Valley and Front Royal community, either in person or riding by in vehicles, always willing to give a shout out of thanks to our military! We definitely will have Timber Works back out to our place in the near term to cut down a few more trees and help with path building. We remain thankful by everything you all did for us! The Timber Works crew were prompt, professional and very careful in our yard as they removed a large tree that struck our house during a storm. Removed a large oak tree in a matter of about 2 hours. Tree was located in a hard to reach location and was close to a main road. They also saved all the smaller trees around it.

Hired to do timber mulching about an acre of land. Also, to clear overgrowth around our vacation home to open up the property. All was done very efficiently. We hired them for two days and all the work needed was completed. Ben is an amazing individual who listened to our requests and did them with a smile. Also very personable. You should be very proud to have him on your team. Would definitely hire them again.

We had a tree from our yard fall on our neighbors house shortly after we moved in. They cam super quickly and did a fantastic job. The dirt spot in the yard was the only reminder there had been a tree previously. We since had them back to remove a stump and again, they were so responsive, polite and their clean up was impeccable. We also asked them to do a walk around the property (fairly wooded) and give us input on the trees we had some questions and concerns about. Fantastic company and fully insured which is important.

From when Jack the owner came to our home to give us a quote, to Joe at the office who coordinated things efficiently, to the whole team who came out and did a solid, clean, safe, and thorough job removing trees and stumps, I was completely satisfied with my experience. The whole company worked with me to arrive at a fair bid as well as handle specifics for our needs for the tree removal. When they were done, our property looked clean and was ready for use to use. I am so happy with the job Timber Works did at my farm. At the outset, Jack came to meet with my son and me to go over the tree clearing, mulching, and stump-grinding we needed done on about 1 1/2 acres, which included a hillside; and Ben and his crew carried it out wonderfully and completely, and I now have my beautiful view back!! They were so professional and polite and answered all my questions. I couldn't have asked for better results and want to give Timber Works the highest recommendation!!!

Timber Works, in conjunction with Arborist's Touch, have a program to donate their services to Veterans in the area. As a disabled VET, I was given this donation of cutting down a few of my trees which were old and have split already a few times. They were fantastic and very professional and helped this old VET out. Timber Works is a wonderful company with great employees and I highly recommend them!!

Jack and his crew are top notch professionals who can be trusted to get the job done right. We had an old large cherry tree right next to our house that was beginning to become a concern due to it's age and proximity to our bedrooms. Jack's crew took the tree down for us quickly, and more importantly, without a single branch hitting our home even though it had a few large branches overhanging our house. Our experience was top notch all the way around! Response time to get estimates was almost immediate! We received professional service from the owner, to the office manager, to the tree removal crew! It was impressive to observe the tree removal crew. These young men were on the ball and worked like a fine tuned instrument! The clean up was unbelievable! Not a pine cone or a needle left behind! We felt the price was a little high, but not so much after seeing the completion of the job! We will be calling Timber Works again to handle all of our tree servicing needs! Just go with Timber Works, I guarantee you will be satisfied!

Timber Works was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Jack arrived on time to determine what trees should come down. Joe contacted me the next work day with a proposal and he made scheduling around my busy schedule effortless. Ben arrived on time with a crew of four hard-workers to remove 15 dead trees from my property. A huge oak positioned on the edge of a steep drop-off was especially challenging, but Ben was able to methodically dismember and remove the tree safely. I agree with other comments, they are reliable, efficient, and left the property tidier than they found it. Jack and all of his employees are friendly and a pleasure to work with. Timber Works is a first rate operation and the only company I will call for tree service. I highly recommend Timber Works.

Team did 2 days of forestry mulching on my new property that was full of under brush after being select logged about 15 years ago. It was a night and day difference that I could never have done on my own. Jack and the crew at Timber Works did a great job communicating and the end result exceeded my expectations. I have used Timber Works twice, once to remove several trees, and then a year later as a source of firewood. I was very pleased on both counts. For the tree removal, the company offered me a good price to have all eight trees removed or trimmed at one time, which was nice. The work was done on schedule, efficiently and quickly. As to the firewood, it was of good quality, and delivered on schedule. I will certainly not hesitate to use Timber Works again, and I have recommended them to my neighbors.

We had a fairly large job for a homeowner. A number of old trees grew very closer and over our newly purchased home. We contacted several tree services to come look at the project and provide an estimate of the work and costs. Right away, we liked Jack! Timber Works isn't just concerned with taking trees down. They have certified arborists who also care about conservation and the health of the trees remaining.Our job took 3 days to complete and included climbers, a bucket truck, several tractors, chipper, and numerous trucks hauling away the debris. The workers had obstacles such as the house/deck, shed, electrical lines, propane tank, well, and septic system to work around.We appreciate that this company is safety conscious. All workers wore hard hats, eye protection, hearing protection, and no open jackets or anything hanging that could get caught in a chipper. Several of the workers wore microphones/ear pieces to communicate with each other, which is very important when trying to precisely drop branches and trunks so as not to fall on the house!The men cleaned up each night, stowing all their gear and generally raking and clearing up as they went. Jack met with us and reviewed what had been completed each day and what to expect the next. These guys were all friendly and professional.After the trees had been removed, they ran a "mulcher" over the property that had been cleared, mulching all the remaining leaves and small branches so that the ground will be ready to seed in the spring.Timber Works not only met our expectations, but far exceeded our expectations! We are looking forward to working with them over the next year or so as we clean up our five acres of heavily wooded property!

The original estimate fir tree removal and forestry mulching was timely and reflected the work that we had discussed. Office was very responsive to questions and scheduling concerns. On the day of the job an excellent crew of three arrived on time, walked the site and got right to work. They checked in frequently to make sure that we were happy with their progress. They were very conscientious about safety and worked in a timely manner. The owner, Jack, stopped by to check on progress. A truly class act. Very professional. We will definitely have them do more tree cleanup and mulching in the future.

Professionalism, Perfectly Yours!I’m not sure how I can say it any better: if you are looking for professionalism and if you are looking for perfection, then look no further than Timber Works Tree Care.My first contact with the company came when I called to talk about some large trees that I needed to have removed. I spoke with Joe--the office manager—and he scheduled someone to come out and give me an estimate within a week. I felt confident that I was in good hands.Jack—the company president—came out when scheduled, right on time, and surveyed what I needed to have done. He gave me a verbal estimate on the spot and confirmed it later in the day with a written contract. His price was more than fair. Now, I knew that I was in good hands. Also, Jack inspired my trust.His crew—Ben (the leader) working with Frank, Wendall, and Jerome—arrived on the day the work was to be done, right on time. Jack and his team cleared just under a 1/4 acre of woodland/brush on my property as I was going to turn that portion of my property into an Orchard. We had a very good experience with Timber Works. They showed up at 7:30, exactly when they were scheduled, and were done by lunch. I paid for 7 trees to be removed from my property. The crew cut them down, chipped, and stacked what couldnt be chipped. They even raked up all the debri including the leaves on the ground. I wouldn’t hesitate to reccomend them to anyone looking for a tree service.

These guys exceeded my expectations in every possible way. They are very professional, but, unlike very large companies, this did not stop them from listening to my personal needs and wants regarding my project. They started the project very promptly, and finished it on time. The quality of their work was so high, that it prompted me to write a review, although I almost never do so. In short, I would recommend them for any job that they will commit to doing, and I would trust their word 100%. If you want the long description of what they did for me, read on.I contacted Jack from TimberWorks to talk about clearing land on a 4acre lot with many trees. He came to the property a few days later, and spent time with me talking about why I need the land cleared (it was because we were buying the property and wanted to bring our horses to live on it). I explained to him about how much I could spend on the project. He explained how to maximize the value from a project that would cost that much (e.g. leave the very large trees, focus on the others and removing stumps, etc.). He also explained to me that I should check with my county to figure out if there may be any requirements and so on. After talking to him, I felt very informed, and we agreed on the specifics of the project. We talked a little about payment dates, which, due to some issues regarding our potential closing date, was uncertain, and Jack was very accomodating with the payment options I offered him. We shook hands, and they started the project a little after that.In the end they cleared probably a little more than an acre, and the place looked like a park. One of the TimberWorks guys jokingly said ‘you can get them to put a carpet on top of that!’; the land was so smooth and flat when they were done. I should also note that, when I asked them to clear the (future) fence line along the perimeter, they did it without a question, even though this was not part of our agreement. Also, when they were done and packing their vehicles, I asked them if they could clear two more stumps that I thought were going to be cleared. Again, no questions, no complaining. In fact, no response besides “sure, we’ll get that done for you”. They got back to work and removed the two stumps.At no point did I experience anything negative with any of the guys who came over to do the job. They were all very friendly, very hard working, and very good at their jobs. They simply enjoy and (quite justifiably) take pride in their work. I simply have nothing negative to say about TimberWorks.

WOW these guys are great! I had a big tree limb fall on my house and needed it removed yesterday. Jack Donohue answered my phone call on the first ring and came out that day to provide me a quote to remove the limb, which was removed the next day. He even put a tarp on my roof to help keep the rain out until the roof could be repaired. He cleaned up the tree debris after removing the limb and it looked as though the tree had never fallen. As a result of this I had him remove the remaining tree, and prune a tree in the back yard. All quality work, fast, and thorough.

Prompt, professional, polite and efficient. Their work is neat. We needed a large brush pile removed. We got a written estimate for the job in 24 hrs and the work was done two days later. Boulders were relocated, tree stumps hauled away and the large amount of dirt in the pile was spread and leveled. Work site was left clean, not full of scattered shred. We'll turn to them for the next job we have.

I hired Timber Works to clear some woods and remove several trees on a mountain lot so we could get our view back of the mountains. The work was challenging given the rocks and slope but Jack and his crew did a fantastic job, clearing exactly what we discussed. Very friendly and easy to work with and I'll definitely have them back for additional clearing in the years to come. Would recommend highly!!

I had a large dead maple tree about 20 feet from my home that had to come down. There were also a couple of trees overgrown and hanging over the house. Jack came out the day after I called, gave a very satisfactory estimate, and marked the trees. His crew arrived as promised and make short work of the trees. They put them down exactly where I asked in short order. The crew was extremely knowledgable, courteous, professional, and quick. They even spent a few minutes chatting to help me get acquainted to the area. As a bonus I also now have a fairly decent view from my back deck all the way to Winchester and the mountains beyond. Very quick contact and Jack came out the next day to assess the work and discuss options. Sent estimates through the same day that beat the competition to take down 6 large dangerous/dead oak trees. Team on-site the next day to take care of the job and went beyond the original scope of work without charge. Throughout the work, the team were pleasant to deal with, Jack kept me updated on progress and they exceeded my expectations on the job. I have no hesitation recommending them - top for value, top for customer service and top for quality of work.

Prompt, Friendly, Reliable, and Affordable. These are all of the great things you will experience by utilizing Timber Works. My family has utilized their services on multiple occasions and have received nothing but the best. Other companies charged significantly higher for less work, less quality and were far less personable.
