Timber Works showed up on time, were polite, curteous and thoroughly reviewed expecations. I believe they went above and beyond in pruning my trees - being aware of potential issues and bringing them to my attention for input on how to proceed. But more than anything I was very impressed by their cleanup. They left nothing behind. To me that is something very, very important and speaks to the high level of professionalism and care.

Highly recommend Timber Works Tree Care!! We needed a large area of cut trees cleared from the mountain side. Jack Donohue promptly responded to all communication, was true to the contract agreed upon, and available in a timely manner. Mr Donohue was professional, polite and conscientious about his work. The team of 8 showed up to work!! They were polite and hardworking and completed the project within the allowed time frame. The price negotiated was fair and reasonable.

I called and talked with Jack, he was very helpful and came to the property to look at the trees that we needed downed. These guys are AWESOME! They are quick & and very honest. They do an excellent job, way above & beyond their service. They rake, sweep, and pick up all extra branches from your yard. I have used Timber Works twice, once to remove several trees, and then a year later as a source of firewood. I was very pleased on both counts. For the tree removal, the company offered me a good price to have all eight trees removed or trimmed at one time, which was nice. The work was done on schedule, efficiently and quickly. As to the firewood, it was of good quality, and delivered on schedule. I will certainly not hesitate to use Timber Works again, and I have recommended them to my neighbors.

We had a fairly large job for a homeowner. A number of old trees grew very closer and over our newly purchased home. We contacted several tree services to come look at the project and provide an estimate of the work and costs. Right away, we liked Jack! Timber Works isn't just concerned with taking trees down. They have certified arborists who also care about conservation and the health of the trees remaining.Our job took 3 days to complete and included climbers, a bucket truck, several tractors, chipper, and numerous trucks hauling away the debris. The workers had obstacles such as the house/deck, shed, electrical lines, propane tank, well, and septic system to work around.We appreciate that this company is safety conscious. All workers wore hard hats, eye protection, hearing protection, and no open jackets or anything hanging that could get caught in a chipper. Several of the workers wore microphones/ear pieces to communicate with each other, which is very important when trying to precisely drop branches and trunks so as not to fall on the house!The men cleaned up each night, stowing all their gear and generally raking and clearing up as they went. Jack met with us and reviewed what had been completed each day and what to expect the next. These guys were all friendly and professional.After the trees had been removed, they ran a "mulcher" over the property that had been cleared, mulching all the remaining leaves and small branches so that the ground will be ready to seed in the spring.Timber Works not only met our expectations, but far exceeded our expectations! We are looking forward to working with them over the next year or so as we clean up our five acres of heavily wooded property!

Timber Works removed several trees from our yard. They did an excellent job, were pleasant, professional, and hard working. They cleaned up all brush, stacked wood as requested, and did all work quickly and efficiently. I am having them do more work in the yard this Fall.

Jack Donohue was very attentive to all of our needs. He took the time to listen to all questions and thoroughly addressed them to our satisfaction.

My husband and I recently hired Timber Works to do some pretty substantial work on our property. Over two days, they removed a lot of dead trees, cleared several large areas of brush, removed a number of large tree stumps, trimmed many trees of low hanging and dead limbs. Their work greatly improved the appearance of our property. The men worked efficiently and steadily throughout both days and were very polite and responsive to our questions. We look forward to having them back as needed in the future.

Timber Works Tree Care is THE choice for any tree related service in the VA region. Not only did they do a great job, everyone in the company is extremely responsive and very professional. They go above and beyond, coming out first to do a walk through and talking through everything and then you get a very detailed online estimate which allows you to ensure all your project needs are covered. They were prompt and checked in with us throughout the project to make sure we were happy with the work. The billing is very transparent and all online and very easy to use. Honestly I'm just blown away with how easy they are to work with, how responsible the prices were, and how quick they worked. We are repeat customers already and will definitely use them again. All I can say is that my experience rivals that of all of the other reviewers. The level of professionalism from Timber Works is as high as you'll find, anywhere. Jack the owner met me to run over what I wanted to accomplish with clearing a piece of raw land down along the Shenandoah. He was early, incredibly professional, nice, and totally made my decision as to who I wanted to do this work. I could not be happier with my decision. Frank showed up to forestry mulch approximately an acre of land that was completely overgrown and included a number of large felled trees. You could barely walk the property at first, and when Frank was done I was amazed at the difference! Frank was also incredibly professional, pleasant to work with, and extremely accommodating to my requests. I HIGHLY recommend Timber Works. I couldn't imagine even considering working with another company at this point. Save yourself the time, headache, and energy-use them. They are fair in price, and do amazing work.

We had extensive work needed on a large number of trees on a five-acre property. From the first visit to give us a quote for the work to the final day of the work everyone on the Timber Works team was capable, professional, and a pleasure to work with. The team that came to do the work was careful about not damaging our existing yard, flowers, trees, shrubs, buildings, etc as they did some pretty complicated tree removal and trimming tasks around the yard. They were thorough with clean-up. Ben, the team leader, was responsive to all our requests and did a walk through with me at the beginning of the work and when the work was completed. I plan on using them again for any work needed in the future.

If you want it done right, use Timber Works. They might be high on cost than the other guys, but you will get your money worth. Was really impressed with their equipment use, it was top of the line for function and safety. I had about a 100 ft tree removal done, only 4 hours later it was gone, even the stump. Again, these guys are tops in the tree service industry.

Second time for great service with Timber Works!! Frank did a fabulous job with forest mulching that included several major downed trees and tackling bamboo that had run rampant. He quickly ascertained what our goals were and even accomplished a task that we had planned for the next visit - all with a super end result. Kudo's for the work ethic and professionalism! Timber Works is our "go to", for sure.We will definitely be calling Timber Works for future tree service. They are professional and highly skilled - impressive! The crew arrived on time - cut 50 tree trunks (from construction clearing) into the size we wanted, and chipped the soft woods. Great mulch piles, right where we specified. They also cleared/forest mulched/shredded a huge pile of tree debris from construction clearing and worked it until the area looked clean and ready to regenerate. Fantastic crew, clearly work with safety in mind, hard working. Highly recommend.

These guys exceeded my expectations in every possible way. They are very professional, but, unlike very large companies, this did not stop them from listening to my personal needs and wants regarding my project. They started the project very promptly, and finished it on time. The quality of their work was so high, that it prompted me to write a review, although I almost never do so. In short, I would recommend them for any job that they will commit to doing, and I would trust their word 100%. If you want the long description of what they did for me, read on.I contacted Jack from TimberWorks to talk about clearing land on a 4acre lot with many trees. He came to the property a few days later, and spent time with me talking about why I need the land cleared (it was because we were buying the property and wanted to bring our horses to live on it). I explained to him about how much I could spend on the project. He explained how to maximize the value from a project that would cost that much (e.g. leave the very large trees, focus on the others and removing stumps, etc.). He also explained to me that I should check with my county to figure out if there may be any requirements and so on. After talking to him, I felt very informed, and we agreed on the specifics of the project. We talked a little about payment dates, which, due to some issues regarding our potential closing date, was uncertain, and Jack was very accomodating with the payment options I offered him. We shook hands, and they started the project a little after that.In the end they cleared probably a little more than an acre, and the place looked like a park. One of the TimberWorks guys jokingly said ‘you can get them to put a carpet on top of that!’; the land was so smooth and flat when they were done. I should also note that, when I asked them to clear the (future) fence line along the perimeter, they did it without a question, even though this was not part of our agreement. Also, when they were done and packing their vehicles, I asked them if they could clear two more stumps that I thought were going to be cleared. Again, no questions, no complaining. In fact, no response besides “sure, we’ll get that done for you”. They got back to work and removed the two stumps.At no point did I experience anything negative with any of the guys who came over to do the job. They were all very friendly, very hard working, and very good at their jobs. They simply enjoy and (quite justifiably) take pride in their work. I simply have nothing negative to say about TimberWorks.

Professionalism, Perfectly Yours!I’m not sure how I can say it any better: if you are looking for professionalism and if you are looking for perfection, then look no further than Timber Works Tree Care.My first contact with the company came when I called to talk about some large trees that I needed to have removed. I spoke with Joe--the office manager—and he scheduled someone to come out and give me an estimate within a week. I felt confident that I was in good hands.Jack—the company president—came out when scheduled, right on time, and surveyed what I needed to have done. He gave me a verbal estimate on the spot and confirmed it later in the day with a written contract. His price was more than fair. Now, I knew that I was in good hands. Also, Jack inspired my trust.His crew—Ben (the leader) working with Frank, Wendall, and Jerome—arrived on the day the work was to be done, right on time. My earlier impressions were reaffirmed: I knew that I was in good hands, they inspired my trust, and they made me feel totally comfortable.What a joyful experience, getting the job done that I needed to have done, professionally and perfectly, with total trust and comfort.I was impressed, incredibly so. Rest assured: when I need more trees removed next year, I’ll be calling Timber Works Tree Care.

Great service from the company. We had an arborist come out first to evaluate the property and then had Timber Works come out and evaluate and both had the same recommendations. Timber Works actually identified a cluster of trees that didn't outwardly look like it had any issues, but was very clearly rotted on the inside once it was taken down.The work crew showed up on time with all of the equipment and personnel necessary to take down the identified trees. Everyone was extremely conscientious of making sure that no property was damaged during their operations.Very communicative from the first step through scheduling and then the actual tree removal. Followed up immediately with emails to make sure we were happy with the service. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality tree company. They ended up taking down 8 trees and doing some cabling on some existing trees to keep as much as the forest preserves as possible, so it was not a small job.

I wanted to take a minute to recognize Jack and his team at Timber Works for a job well done! A storm came through where one of the larger limbs fell from our dying oak tree and it truly brought home the potential danger right in our backyard. I was very nervous and apprehensive due to the size and proximity. I went for four different quotes and Jack’s calmness, follow-up and professionalism was what set Timber Works apart. I was given a detailed, itemized list of exactly what to expect, along with recommendations and their associated cost. There was no surprises, no hidden itinerary, which allowed us to effectively shift our budget around.I won’t even get into the acrobatic, strength, and agility the team displayed. They arrived promptly as scheduled, relentlessly worked around the clock all the while keeping site of our neighbor’s as well as our personal property. How they managed to not destroy my roses underneath is testament to how good these guys are. Even after putting in long hours, they offered to help move a few patio furniture that was damaged from the storm and set them curbside for the trash man to haul away the next day. With my husband overseas, I would never have been able to clear the derbies and furniture on my own. They are a lifesaver and very greatly appreciated. I will highly recommend their service to everyone seeking an outstanding and more than capable landscaping & tree removal company!

I can’t express enough the professionalism of the team at Timber Works Tree care. From the first day I met with Mac to go over the options, the professional advice, the emails with the office team and finally the team itself that arrived on time as stated to remove the three dead trees, four other trees; including ones for my neighbor. All of which were in a shared back yard with limited access.The removal team was safety oriented, fast, had great communication with all my neighbors and did an amazing job. They took care to do as little damage as possible to my neighbor’s yard, cleaned up more that I expected and was done and out before we knew it.I highly recommend calling them for you tree removal and other tree care needs. Their prices for 8 trees, that were 60’ in height, totaled less than another company’s quote for just two trees. Adding to this, all our emails and calls were answered through out the whole process in less than 48 hours.To everyone at Timber Works; thank you so much. I could not be happier with the work done today.

11.01.20My husband and I hired Timber Works to clear 3.5 acres of thick woods for a horse pasture. We couldn't have been happier! I had some tree stumps to be removed and I was shopping around for offers. Hired to do timber mulching about an acre of land. Also, to clear overgrowth around our vacation home to open up the property. All was done very efficiently. We hired them for two days and all the work needed was completed. Ben is an amazing individual who listened to our requests and did them with a smile. Also very personable. I got three bids to remove an Oklahoma Redbud from my front yard. Timber Works was actually the lowest by far, which initially made me a little leery because the other two were fairly close. After meeting Jack, the owner, it sealed the deal. He told me the price up front, looked me in the eye and gave me a firm handshake. My wife said the crew wasted no time whatsoever, cleaned up very well and didn’t leave a trace. If I had more work for them, I wouldn’t hesitate, and neither should you. Very professional outfit, very easy to deal with, and I saved $500.

These guys exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Even though it was an hours drive for them they were there early. They worked their tails off all day and left the place looking better than how they found it. This was not a job where they had to just remove one tree, they transformed my entire property. They left me with a beautiful pile of rounds for firewood that were cut at 16” to accommodate my wood stove. They also left me a nice pile of logs which I had turned into lumber. They were careful not to drag them through the mud and rocks to make my life easier during the sawing process. Could not be happier with their work!!

Using Timber Works Tree Care for removal of several trees was a great experience. They were professional from the first call to final invoice. Everything detailed, no surprises, and they left the yard looking like they had never been there. I couldn't have asked for better service. Jack and his crew are top notch professionals who can be trusted to get the job done right. We had an old large cherry tree right next to our house that was beginning to become a concern due to it's age and proximity to our bedrooms. I hired Timber Works to clear some woods and remove several trees on a mountain lot so we could get our view back of the mountains. The work was challenging given the rocks and slope but Jack and his crew did a fantastic job, clearing exactly what we discussed. I had a large dead maple tree about 20 feet from my home that had to come down. There were also a couple of trees overgrown and hanging over the house. Jack came out the day after I called, gave a very satisfactory estimate, and marked the trees. His crew arrived as promised and make short work of the trees. They put them down exactly where I asked in short order. The crew was extremely knowledgable, courteous, professional, and quick. They even spent a few minutes chatting to help me get acquainted to the area. As a bonus I also now have a fairly decent view from my back deck all the way to Winchester and the mountains beyond. Our experience was top notch all the way around! Response time to get estimates was almost immediate! We received professional service from the owner, to the office manager, to the tree removal crew! It was impressive to observe the tree removal crew. These young men were on the ball and worked like a fine tuned instrument! The clean up was unbelievable! Not a pine cone or a needle left behind! We felt the price was a little high, but not so much after seeing the completion of the job! We will be calling Timber Works again to handle all of our tree servicing needs! Joe contacted me the next work day with a proposal and he made scheduling around my busy schedule effortless. Ben arrived on time with a crew of four hard-workers to remove 15 dead trees from my property. A huge oak positioned on the edge of a steep drop-off was especially challenging, but Ben was able to methodically dismember and remove the tree safely. I agree with other comments, they are reliable, efficient, and left the property tidier than they found it. Jack and all of his employees are friendly and a pleasure to work with. This was our first engagement with Timber Works of Front Royal, Virginia. Timber Works was recommended to me by my USNA/Navy classmate who lives nearby in Bentonville - we are both retired military families with more than 70 years of service between the two of us.By far the best people we have ever worked with, we love this team! Timber Works showed outstanding leadership and teamwork; consummate professionalism; acute awareness of performing extreme safety measures in an incredibly dangerous environment; thoroughness and site cleanliness; and an ultra-patriotic and strong work ethic for every man on the team are the hallmarks of Timber Works' success as the best tree service crew we have ever worked with. From the first estimating engagement with the owner, to having the Timber Works teams out for this job was the best investment we've made on this property, they cleared dead and dying trees that were close to falling on the house and on other structures. The team rose to the challenge in a difficult forest hill terrain, and cut and segmented and stacked all 15 trees (except 3 or 4) into firewood size sections. From the moment they set foot on the property, they hit the deck plates running, cleanly and efficiently working together and completing the job in record time. What I noticed most was the teamwork, precision, and safety; with every man handling a specific job and executed flawlessly under the guidance and direction of the team lead. This is a tough group of professionals who I would take down range with me any day into the worst conditions!The same thing happened on the second day with the tree tech who came out to run the large forestry mulcher down through the forest to the creek's edge creating a path for us to be able to bring our veteran warrior friends and our greater military family down to what is now a safe and peaceful place. He was quick, professional, and very knowledgeable in how to weave a path through our forest that accomplished our goals while still maintaining a high level of forest ecosystem conservation.I was also very impressed and humbled with the Timber Works Team's interest and appreciation for our military service. Our property and buildings will be safer now for hosting our military brothers and sisters, and their families – particularly Gold Star families. And in the days since the Timber Works teams were here to complete these two jobs, I have had the pleasure to run into several of the crew members out and about in our Fort Valley and Front Royal community, either in person or riding by in vehicles, always willing to give a shout out of thanks to our military! We definitely will have Timber Works back out to our place in the near term to cut down a few more trees and help with path building. We remain thankful by everything you all did for us! We called Timber Works Tree Care to estimate and then remove a dying tree in our yard in the Fairfax, VA area. The Timber Works crew were extremely courteous and professional. They were able to offer us a great deal (as we had received several estimates), scheduled a time convenient for us, and removed the tree in a prompt manner. In fact, they did such a great job, that in the several hours they were here, three separate neighbors asked them to take out some trees and branches from their yards! :) I highly recommend Timber Works. WOW these guys are great! I had a big tree limb fall on my house and needed it removed yesterday. Jack Donohue answered my phone call on the first ring and came out that day to provide me a quote to remove the limb, which was removed the next day. He even put a tarp on my roof to help keep the rain out until the roof could be repaired. He cleaned up the tree debris after removing the limb and it looked as though the tree had never fallen. As a result of this I had him remove the remaining tree, and prune a tree in the back yard. All quality work, fast, and thorough.

Prompt, professional, polite and efficient. Their work is neat. We needed a large brush pile removed. We got a written estimate for the job in 24 hrs and the work was done two days later. Boulders were relocated, tree stumps hauled away and the large amount of dirt in the pile was spread and leveled. Work site was left clean, not full of scattered shred. We had a very good experience with Timber Works. They showed up at 7:30, exactly when they were scheduled, and were done by lunch. I paid for 7 trees to be removed from my property. The crew cut them down, chipped, and stacked what couldnt be chipped. They even raked up all the debri including the leaves on the ground. I can’t express enough the professionalism of the team at Timber Works Tree care. From the first day I met with Mac to go over the options, the professional advice, the emails with the office team and finally the team itself that arrived on time as stated to remove the three dead trees, four other trees; including ones for my neighbor. All of which were in a shared back yard with limited access.
The removal team was safety oriented, fast, had great communication with all my neighbors and did an amazing job. They took care to do as little damage as possible to my neighbor’s yard, cleaned up more that I expected and was done and out before we knew it.
I highly recommend calling them for you tree removal and other tree care needs. Their prices for 8 trees, that were 60’ in height, totaled less than another company’s quote for just two trees. Adding to this, all our emails and calls were answered through out the whole process in less than 48 hours.

Very professional hardworking and efficient group. Had a tree extremely close and over hung the house. Completely removed the tree and stump better then expected. Would not hesitate to hire again. Top notch clean up as well upon completion

The original estimate fir tree removal and forestry mulching was timely and reflected the work that we had discussed. Office was very responsive to questions and scheduling concerns. On the day of the job an excellent crew of three arrived on time, walked the site and got right to work. They checked in frequently to make sure that we were happy with their progress. They were very conscientious about safety and worked in a timely manner. The owner, Jack, stopped by to check on progress. A truly class act. Very professional. We will definitely have them do more tree cleanup and mulching in the future.

I am so happy with the job Timber Works did at my farm. At the outset, Jack came to meet with my son and me to go over the tree clearing, mulching, and stump-grinding we needed done on about 1 1/2 acres, which included a hillside; and Ben and his crew carried it out wonderfully and completely, and I now have my beautiful view back!! They were so professional and polite and answered all my questions. I couldn't have asked for better results and want to give Timber Works the highest recommendation!!!

Timber Works did an excellent job of cutting limbs and trimming trees. Jack the owner gave great recommendations on which trees needed to be taken care of.They were on time, very careful climbing, removing limbs and making sure they cleaned up and took care of the limbs and sticks, etc. The five men also used leaf blowers to leave the job in great shape.They have wonderful equipment and are respectful of one another in completing the job.I highly recommend them.
