When it comes to tree cutting, there are many different factors to take into account when pricing a tree to be removed. Is the tree dead or dying? Over your property? Tall, thick, short?
1. Trees health: The tree’s health is a major factor when our expert arborist comes to price a tree. Is the tree sick or dying? Is the tree dead or brittle? Is the tree infested? These are all major factors when our estimators come out to give you a free estimate. Because we only use expert arborists to give free estimates, the estimator is able to look at the tree from all angles and find the most cost-effective and safe way for your tree to be removed.
2. Surrounding Area: The next step for our estimators to look at is the surrounding area. Many times the tree that needs to be removed is in a tight area that is near your home or other surrounding property. Most of the time when a tree needs to be removed, it is because the tree is at risk of falling and hitting something important.
This is a major indicator of cost, most companies will come in and fell or knock the tree down very easily, however, at Timber Works we have multiple options for taking down the tree. This way the tree can be in a tight area, hanging over a home or piece of property, and we will still be able to remove the tree with ease.
Timber Works can cut a tree down in many different ways:
a. Felling the tree: We can fell the tree with precise and calculated cuts, this can be done when there is an opening for the tree or if there is no surrounding objects.
b. Climbing: When there is no space for equipment to make its way to the tree, or the tree is hanging over a house. Timber Works has expert climbers that are able to climb the tree and rig and lower the tree piece by piece in order to protect your property and safely bring it down.
c. Equipment: Some trees are able to be removed with our top of the line equipment:
Bucket removal: Our bucket truck can reach a tree at 30 to 40 feet in the air. If the tree has an opening to get the bucket truck in there, it can be a more cost-effective way to remove the tree.
Spider Lift: Our Spider Lift can go up to around 100 feet in the air for higher trees that are more difficult climbs. The spider lift can contract into a relatively small area so that it can get through even the tightest spaces.
Knuckle Boom Crane: Another way of removal for the bigger trees is our Knuckle Boom Crane, reaching over 200 feet in the air!
With these pieces of equipment, our climbers, and expert tree cutters, there is no tree that we can’t remove safely and efficiently!
3. Height and Width: Another factor for determining the cost of a tree is the height and width. Many homeowners might think this is the only factor that goes into removal, but it is actually relatively low on the list. This is because, with our equipment and training, bigger trees are not necessarily a harder trees to remove. The major reason for the cost increase for tall and wide trees is removing debris. So when pricing a tree, removal of debris is going to be a factor.
4. Type of tree: This sounds like it would not matter when determining the price of the tree. But another factor when pricing a tree is what type of tree it is. Certain types of trees can be more brittle, harder to climb or shatter like an Ash tree. When pricing a tree removal, the type of tree needs to be determined because depending on the type of tree, it might impact the way we remove the tree.
